Welcome to the Original Home of West Virginia Whitewater Rafting — since 1968!
We closely work with guests to craft a one-of-a- kind white water
rafting vacation in Southern West Virginia. Our adventures include New
River rafting (under the scenic New River Gorge Bridge), Gauley River
rafting (world-class dam-released whitewater each fall), kayaking,
climbing and adventure packages. Whether soaking up the scenery on a
relaxing float trip or getting soaked on Class V whitewater, we have
whitewater rafting trips and family vacation packages you'll remember
forever!
The adventure is about more than just whitewater; experience amazing
views of the New River Gorge in the spring and summer or the primordial
morning mist on the Gauley River in the fall and you'll know that
you're not just on another whitewater rafting trip.
New River Rafting Information
One of the oldest rivers in the world, the New River features great
West Virginia whitewater rafting trips for everyone. New River rafting
is done on two sections: The Upper New River and the Lower New River.
The Upper New is the perfect family vacation adventure for those who
want to float, swim and enjoy hanging out with each other, while the
Lower New River keeps white water rafting veterans satisfied and
newcomers thrilled. Children as young as 6 can enjoy an upper new river
trip and older children can paddle their own inflatable "duckie." Twelve is
the minimum age limit for the Lower New.
During spring, the river roars with high-water adventure. It is common
for the New River to have bigger flows than the Colorado River in the
Grand Canyon! You ride huge roller coaster waves, punch daunting,
frothy hydraulics and see features that will make your jaw drop. Spring
whitewater is perfect for experienced or adventurous rafters. Summer
brings warm water, sun and fun with swimming, "surfing" and general fun
for all ages.
Gauley River Rafting Information
Gauley River rafting begins every September and October in Southern
West Virginia when the Summersville Dam opens its gates and unleashes
the fury that is the Gauley River. Technically demanding, with more
than 60 named world-class rapids, whitewater rafting on the Gauley
River is unforgettable.
While you’re visiting for Gauley River rafting, extend your stay
(Believe us, you'll want to!) by exploring other West Virginia outdoor
adventures. Negotiate fun trails on an ATV trip, explore Summersville Lake in a touring kayak, climb or rappel in the New River Gorge or bike
down some of the country's best single track. If you don't see the
vacation package you want, we'll work with you to craft your perfect
adventure experience!
