The commander grain elevator at the south end of Main Street is a popular spot for the adventurous since being reinvented as an indoor climbing facility with 16 different climbing walls.  Numerous bike trails can be found in the Stillwater area, as well as tubing down the Apple River in summer and downhill skiing and snow tubing in the winter. Take in the entire valley view with a hot-air balloon ride.
