Whatever the season, Wilmington has it all! Go back in history at one of our many historic houses, or go back even further in the dinosaur exhibit at the Delaware Museum of Natural History. Hunt for seashells at the beach, or visit a replica of one of the tall sailing ships that brought immigrants from Sweden to Delaware. Enjoy culture and food at one of our many ethnic festivals, and listen to a wide variety of live music from jazz and classical to rock and gospel.
While you're in Wilmington, be sure to dine and shop along the recently remodeled Christina Riverfront. Stroll along the beautifully landscaped and well lit Riverwalk to a variety of outlet stores. You'll also find delicious specialty foods, flowers, fresh produce, and much more. Wilmington's beautifully restored Amtrak station is here, too. When you're ready to sit and enjoy the view, relax in Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park, which commemorates Wilmington's history as the "last stop to freedom" on the Underground Railroad, and is named for two individuals famed for their work on the Railroad, Harriett Tubman and Thomas Garrett.
And don't forget: shopping, dining and entertainment are tax free in Delaware!
