Of course, a trip to Kelowna wouldn’t be complete without going on a ghost adventure to try and seek out the legendary lake monster supposedly residing in Lake Okanagan. The Interior Salish Native people were the ones to begin sharing stories about the mysterious lake creature over 100 years ago. The lake monster soon became known as Ogopogo and with many proclaimed sightings the legend strengthened over time. If you’d like to try out the myth for yourself just go to the statue of the creature located on Bernard Avenue next to Kelowna’s City Park.
